CyberCore Technologies has been awarded follow on
work with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), as part of the agency's
“Enterprise Data Center” program. The contract first started with
supply chain and deployment of IT solutions and has now evolved
into providing multiple technical resource requirements. CyberCore
Technologies is providing Storage Area Networking, Windows Architecture
and Application testing expertise. Work is being performs in Denver
CO, Columbus OH, Alexandria VA and Richmond VA.
The $290 million contract is responsible for consolidating the agency's
servers, applications and storage, by using the latest HP technology,
thus allowing more efficient support reducing its IT inventory to
the U.S. service members.
The DLA, based in Fort Belvoir, Va., provides supply support, technical
and logistics services to the U.S. military and several federal
civilian agencies. The mission is tied to supporting the war efforts.
The contract is for a five-year period, with an option for annual
extensions for another five years The program's goal is to modernize
the infrastructure and consolidate the migration, which will be
staggered over time to minimize disruptions in customer service.
